We have a tripleXXX web site that has attached itself to our desk top. We haven't been able to remove it. How?? We assume it came in on an e-mail. Thanks...

Oh boy,if that's the one that we were having pop up a few times a week for a month or so,it is DISGUSTING! I mean real stomach turning stuff. It finally stopped on its own,but not before the teenaged girls had it pop up on them.

Try this:

Click on "Start" in the lower left of your screen

Next click on "Settings"

Next on "Control Panel"

Next on "Internet Options"

Next under the "General Tab" Type in your desired home page in the box provided. Make sure the XXX address in that box is deleted and / or overwritten.

Next click on "Apply"

Close out of the Control Panel and your home page should be reset.

After you have done that go to filehippo.com and download Ccleaner and also Adaware free application software and use them to clean your system of all unneeded tracking cookies and registry entries. Use those programs at least once a week to keep your system clean.
