I have posted both pictures and questions on this web site, and have got nothing but rude and vulger answers and comments! I know 90% of you are good people who are just trying to help, but I'm tired of looking through comments from 10 idiots just to get one good answer. I know many will tell me not to let it bother me, but it does. I just really enjoy this web site, have gotten some really good information from here, and would like to feel confident that I still can without being bombarded by imbeciles with computers. Those people should pay more attention to the second part of the 'posting guidelines' box when they submit their childish replies.

I've read all the posts below. I have to tell you,I've read posts from people who's names I don't recognize as regulars,asking questions that were kind of simple for "old hands" so to speak,and have seen replys that were so off the wall that I wanted to email the person who posted the original post,and appologize. Some people need to get back out to the shop and cool off for a while,or at least just move on to the next post. Where else is a rookie collector going to learn if we don't help them out a little? UNLESS YOU ARE POSTING SOMETHING POLITICAL,THEN THIS ISN'T THE PLACE.

I am with ya, fella. I have a spent a few hours researching information from my manuals, books, and periodocals to attempt to help some one I do not know. Then I got totally flamed for my signature. I am 33 years old, make a darn good living, and attend WVU to try to make myself a little more marketable to my employer. I follow the WVU football team and was using the fight chant, "Let's go Mountaineers" for a signature. It was not vulgar or rude or even original but it still drew fire. I was also flamed for the fact that although I am refitting/restoring a $3500 tractor and spending $5000 to do it, the fact that I am converting to a alternator and a electronic tach makes my tractor cobbled together. I mean c'mon, it's my money and my tractor, too!!! It's best to let it roll off your back.

Turn on any CB radio and you will hear some 15 year old telling some trucker that he is gonna kick his butt. It's called "radio muscles".

Some posters here feel the need to police the O/T topics. Heck, if I have a general knowledge question, I post it here. If I have a question about exactly what filter fits my MF65 gasser, I got to the Massey forum. That's what it is for.

Just let it roll off, there are really good people here.

I wonder if this is the guy who was shooting marbles at the cows rubbing the guy wire to his meter pole. That one did get kinda long, and I can't find it. I was referred to as a jerk in that one. The topic kinda struck me as being funny, shooting marbles at cows with a sling shot and all.

I notice that most of the regulars on the forums did not respond here and that those whose names I recognize and who did respond are doing so in a manner that suggests they care. Of those who attacked the post, I can't say that any of those names are people I recognize. He should identify himself and state his specific case, but in the meantime, let's not bend over backwards to prove his point for him.

well dave, "I" didn't respond because i personally really don't have any problem with most everything i see on here. i'm not sure what the specifics the guy was talking about, but i have a feeling he "might" have taken something the wrong way? hard to say without knowing. like others have said, if i knew exactly what comment was made that upset him i might have had an opinion to express one way or the other, but since i don't know, there wasn't much to say. 99.9% of what i read here i find to be either informative or entertaining, the other .1% i just kind of ignore. i hope whoever wrote it can look past whatever mad him mad and keep using this site for what it's intended to be for.

REVEAL YOURSELF. Then we can all talk! I like constructive criticism. Thats why I like it here. I know I have a lot to learn, but I have found here is a good place to learn. I hope that folks on here will always be honest in a constructive way of course. But not revealing yourself is kinda cowardly.

Disgusted. You wouldn't happen to be Andy would you? I ask as I usually read most posts and that's the only one I can remember recently even vagely resembling nasty rude comments. Even those weren't directed at you but at the tractor and whoever had modified it. I personally don't like what they did, but it is or was their tractor. I also agree with some posts, they did ruin the tractor. It's a nifty conversation piece, but probably not really to well engineered and most likely now incapable of any real tractor work. Just my opinion, and in no way,is my opinion of the tractor the same as my opinion of you. God Bless.

Would you mind giving us an idea about the topic, that generated the rude and vulgar answers? Of all the boards I visit, this is one of the best... Very seldom do I ever see any rude or vulgar posts... Tell us more.. I find most of the members here to be very polite..
