I see on the news they found that poor little ones body. Prime suspect apparently is once again, a convicted child molestor that was released out into the public, AGAIN. It makes me freaking sick. When is our society gonna get these POS out of society. Ya already know what I think. They need to be dead, dead, dead. Why spend money on tracking devices. Lock em up if ya dont want to send them to God to decide, but lock em up, in a rat infested, hard time prison . KIM,Please dont remove my post right off the bat, not farm related but so what. You good people on here, let your reps know that they need to increase the punishment for these sicko's so they arent breathing, or at least are not in public, or living high on the hog in a state of the art prison INN. If you shrug me off, just imagine if next week it's your child, grandchild,neice/nephew, neighbor kid, ect.

Ya'll want to hear another sad part?

In franklin tennessee they had three child molesters work at a one of the Mcdonalds. One of those was a shift manager who biggest job was doing the childrens birthday parties...

Now tell me how a child molester can get a job where their biggest advertisements are towards getting children to their place?

Their were 7 i believe in tennessee.. There were 17 if i'm not mistaken in indiana..

Only one way to protect our children..

In my opinion--Let the HOT-SHOT- JUDGE-- that releases these people be held somewhat accountable for actions of these scum bags. SIMPLE!!

Jiles, you have hit the nail on the head. I don't know about other states, but in Illinois the judges have almost no accountability to the people. When I was young, the judges here had to run for reelection against an actual opponent. Now they are voted in once and basically have the job for the rest of their lives. The do face a "shall judge so and so be retained" vote every so often. But it takes, I think, a 2/3rds majority of the voters to remove one. Illinois courts have gone steadily down hill ever since.

I hear ya, I share a similar opinion, and vehmently detest these people, the crimes they commit and the way the criminal justice system handles them, especially when one of them ends up on the street again, and is in a position to perpetrate what has to be the most demented and vile (sp?) crimes one can think of. It is enough to make you want to turn vigilante. This kind of crime compels one to want to do something about it, and I find it unacceptable that we have not found a better way to mitigate this problem, especially these people who have been released, only to repeat these kind of crimes.

In other countries, there exists barbarism to the extent one cannot even imagine unless you research what goes on in many areas of the world, I do believe we live in a great country and we strive for excellence, but somehow this problem persists, and the tragic criminal results are still occurring at an appalling level.

I have no comprehension of how someone can and will do this to another person, especially a child, and I think they have no fear of the consequences because of the fact they have been released into society again, this aside from ones who have contemplated doing these things for the first time, they too have no fear of their actions whatsoever.

I don't think it's an easy task to expose or rehabilitate these kind of people to the extent they won't do it again or never do it at all, but the punishments should exceed the barbaric'ness of the crime, if you get my drift. I mean that and believe in it, if one decides that they are going to perpetrate an act such as we have seen and been appalled by so many times, and have hurt so many people and their famlies, I see no other way. The only thing that causes me grief is, being absolutely sure you have the perpetrator, 100%, and in that case, there should be no mercy and no leniency no matter what, and the punishment should be absolutely barbaric, excessively cruel, publicized, and broadcast for everyone to see.

Even at that, the cunning and determined will still be out there, and as a parent, it makes your job very difficult, because you have to make sure your kids are educated, prepared and can take action if confronted with this kind of situation. Parents have to shelter their kids today, never let an eye off them, kids have no freedom because of this element, used to be the bully at school you worried about most. These predators know this and wait for the rare moment when the door of vulnerability opens.

I do realize this is really way off the discussion outline here, yet it irks me enough to contribute, my apologies for that, but I give you a lot of credit to have enough courage to post something as OT as this here.

A web site I have looked at shows who they are and where they live in the towns you pull up. The police here send out the persons picture and address. We got one a year back. No matter how long in jail no change.

My wife is a Chief Probation officer in the county we live in . In training they told them that a child molester can never be reformed . They had a known child molester speak at one of their training sessions and he said the desire is always there , If someone says they are cured they are lying, about 95% repeat, so I don't know the answer I guess just put them all in the same enclosure and let them deal with each other , away from society .

As a former cop and the father of three beautiful daughters I have strong feelings about this. My first arrest was a child molester (caught him in the act) and he consequently spent the rest of his life behind bars.

However, I also have deep concerns about false allegations of abuse by some of these wicked little modern day hellions who know that is a quick and easy way to put a man on the fast track to the gray bar hotel. How man guys are sitting in prison today, innocent, because some spurned lover or vengeful step child - as that other fella said - pointed the finger of blame and pulled the trigger? Its the one way a woman can rape a man.

Kent,

I had a prosecutor tell me that EVERY MAN is a potental molestor. Prosecuting those type of cases is high profile and the prosecutors really go after them because of the publicity and it makes them "look good".

False allegations of child molestation is a common practice among women getting a divorce when kids are involved. All they need do is just mention it and the man has lost already, it s known fact. Any mention of any type of abuse and the dreaded Child Protective Service will be knocking on your door and interviewing the children at school. You wont be allowed to see your kids until the allegations are cleared up.

If your lucky and you dont end up in prison then the seed of doubt is already planted and no judge is going to let you have your kids. Take all the lie detectors you want, all the MMPI test, penile plasmograf tests, etc..., and it wont matter.

Be warned if your getting a divorce.

A suburb in the area just passed a law that $exual offenders cannot live or work within 1000' of a school, library, playground or daycare. But I think it is kind of pointless because there is no restriction on them visiting any of them. They may not live near a park but they can hang out all day if they want. And there are a lot more people killing there own kids out of abuse and neglect. I hate to leave it to the schools and government, but maybe we need to think about some classes on parenting and family life for kids in early high school. I'm glad I had PARENTS to teach me.

Cincinnati I think just passed such a law. They deny it but the real intent of such a law is to force the Perverts to move into the suburbs and rural areas so that Cincinnati won't have to deal with them. 40% of Cincinnati is off limits under that law.

Our juvenile protection system is running amok because of underfunding. Our legislators create stronger child abuse laws but then down the road a ways, they pull some of the funding used to enforce these laws, and use the money somewhere else. Less money means understaffing in the agencies that are expected to enforce the laws. They are so over worked that they don't have nearly enough time to devote to each individual case. Serious offenders are turned loose, and at the same time innocent people who are turned in by a revengeful step-daughter,for instance, are rubber stamped 'guilty' and sent to prison. Seems like our legislators are passing child abuse laws just to impress the voters, but they don't want to back the laws up with proper funding. Jim

I agree. Regardless of how the molester's past life was, an innocent child always pays for his/her bad past.

Whoa, the things that test our faith, Mr. Dave! But that is where we must become stronger in prayer and in action to stop these people from #1) initially defiling themselves, 2) taking evil action against our children, and 3) destroying everyone who is close to the victim.

OH NO! He is a human being and must be rehabilitated and then released to see if the rehabilitation worked regardless of the impact on other innocents.
