I just purchased a loader that came off a Farmall C. There is two hoses that hook up to the tractor somewhere but I don't know where. Anyone have any ideas? The loader has its own control valves. The loader also came with a small tank and I suppose it hooks into the system so there is enough fluid. I looked in my manual but found nothing. Any help with were to hook up the hoses and the tank would be greatly appreciated.

I had a loader on my Super C. It hooked up as Georgeky said. Mine had only two hoses, they hooked up on the right side of the hydro lift box just as georgeky said. The tank I had was about the size of a football (no hose attachment) and had a solid pipe screwed right into Hydro lift box by removing the fill plug. This tank had a fill plug of it's own on one tip of the football shaped tank. This is where your third hose should hookup. I believe your tank would need to be higher than the fill hole. With this hookup, you don't need the other control valve as the touch control levers would lift the loader. My tractor lifted the loader I had very quickly hooked up like this. I was very surprised. It may be possible, the tractor this loader came off of may have had a hydraulic pump on the PTO shaft. I had a SC Case with that setup and a tank mounted on the fender. I have pictures posted in the tractor gallery of this tractor as I now use it- I found the loader to be TOO SLOW !!! for moving snow. I sold the loader and went back to using the pushblade. I could move twice as much snow and it's cold in MN without a cab on the tractor. Let me know if you have more questions. Loren

Are you sure about the touch control levers working that.

I don"t recall using a control valve, but I could be wrong, It"s been 15-20 years. I did lock-out or block one of the touch control levers when I used the loader. Now I still use only one touch control lever to lift the dozer blade. The blade is up by the time I get it into reverse.

The tank should fit on a pipe mounted directly to the fill port on hydraulic lift box. The hose going to it is only a low pressure return line. The other two should hook to ports on right side of box were oil lines hook to hydraulic box. There is two bungs in manifold with allen heads that will need to be removed then screw fittings in and you should have power. If it works backwards just switch around. I think this is right, but my loader is a trip bucket so I just use the same valve that would work a fasthitch.

Is one hose hooked to the tank and the other to the control valve?

The tractor has two separate control valves. One rotates the bucket and the other works both lift cylinders. Each control valve has a hose coming from it. Then there is a small tank with a larger hose. Three hoses total.

Thanks
