Can anyone tell me where the serial numbers are located on a Massey Ferguson 97 Tractor?

I read somewhere that it was under the dash, but I could find no serial numbers under the dash. I also found a couple of number on the engine block that showed it being Model Number D-504-8 and a Serial Number of 73704819, but I think that those refered to the serial numbers of the Minneapolis Moline Engine that it has.

Also, does anyone know where I can find seat cushions for the 97?

Thanks

As Clint said, it's on the right side of the transmission, below the battery tray and platform. It will be a serisl tag the same size as the one on the engine. The seat cushion and back are available for about $75 from Speer Cushion in Holyoke, CO. -www.speercushion.com -Very nice ones. I've bought some for my Mpls-Moline G-VI.

The massey ferguson 97 was built by moline when the massey factory burnt the tractor serial number should be on a tag on the left side of the transmission i believe teh numbers you gave are engine numbers should be 504 cubic inches might try and ask some more of the mm guys.
