I went to one sale and a buddy went to another sale about 90 miles away. He called me and said there were 4 row cleaners on his sale and was I interested? I said to make them bring $100 each. He said hang on, they are going to sell them now. Sold all together, $50. So I left and drove over there and paid for them and loaded them up. Not exactly what I wanted but can probably figure out some way to make them work. They mount different than I thot they would. Going to put them on a White 5100 planter. Chris

Those are Dawn units and I'd say you stole them at that price. I'd never seen mounts like those but if you go to this link and scroll about half way down the page it will show them.

Holy Cow!!! I went to Dawn website and looked and dang if the one I got ain't supposed to fit a 5100. I thought I needed the ones with the plate that you bolt onto front of row unit. I'm feeling better about this all the time. I have some box beam from cultivator frame I think I can make a bracket and mount in front of planter toolbar and move no-till coulters forward and still use them with trash wheels. Chris

I"d say you got a deal if they can be made to work. On our White 6100, and your 5100 as well, they mount totally different(2 inch square tube that pins into a U shaped piece mounted to the row unit). We wish we had the floating style, as they tend to gouge a nice trench when planting ends over terraces. Maybe on the next planter.

I'm with you- wouldn't know what else to do with them, but you could sure aerate the lawn in a hurry. The missus always shakes her head when I fertilize the lawn in one pass, with my broadcast spreader behind the Oliver 550. Could be worse- I could also do it in one pass with the manure spreader. . .
