I've reinforced my puller twice, I've got a 16 inch wrench as tight as I can get it without putting a pipe on it, and I've been hitting the bottom end pretty hard, but It won't move. It's a wet sleeve on an oliver 70. What do you recommend next?

Dry ice mixed with methyl alcohol. It will shrink those sleeves down and they will fall out.

Check out this sleeve pusher. On the Buda engine,
the sleeves stuck down below the bottom of the
cylinder so I could push on the sleeves. I don't know about the oliver engine Buda sleeves came out easy.

Wait a minute here. Put the welder away for now. This is a wet sleeve engine. Is the block in or out of the tractor? How well does your plate fit on the bottom? What size is your threaded screw? Nothing else find me on the hpoca form and send me a PM. However I will tell you I will not call you till next week as I will be gone till Monday. J.

the block is on engine stand. on the bottom I have square tubing that I can trim close once I have the sleeves broken loose. the rod is 3/4

Problem is the square tubing. Get the right steel slug to put on the bottom of the sleeve and some hard threaded rod and I would think it should pop out. I think the square tubing is flexing instead of pushing up the sleeve if you are doing what I think you are. I think they make slide hammer pullers too but you have to have the right size slug of metal under the sleeve.

Let the pressure off the puller, run a bead of weld down the sleeve from top to bottom , do this 180 degerees apart from each other . Let the weld cool and add pressure to the puller again and watch them come out. The weld pulls the diameter in on the sleeve and decreases it so it will come out easier.

I know a guy that did that on a Perkins and wound up welding the sleeve to the block. The man that had to cut the weld with the boring bar was not real happy to say the least.
