Trying to get an idea what a 1997 RD690P Mack is worth...60,000 mi , EM7-275 hp , 6 speed trans. [ 5 speed with air low hole], Bonnell 10' power angling snowplow , Rexroth Load Sensing hydraulics , 9' High sided dump bed with telescopic hoist[ Crysteel Fortress ], A.C. , Brakes last 6,000 miles,[ gunnite drums , shoes , cams , bushings , slacks ] Exhaust last 3,000 miles , Concord CRE-195 Roller Spreader, Pintle plate with spring loaded pintle hitch..Single axle..This is not a rust bucket...Washed and waxed regularily , serviced every 6,000 miles with grease jobs in between..We've got a new 7400 Navistar coming , naturally IH dealer doesn't want to give squat for it on trade..This truck will go up for auction sometime in the near future , just need some input as to what it's worth...We're hoping for around $ 25,000..It was $ 89,000 new..

I don't see anything wrong with starting at 25, but you might need be prepared to sit on it for a while, or move on price. It's getting to be the wrong time of year to move that setup? At least in these parts, Nov/Dec, and the forcast for snow helps the prices a bit..... . Nobody thinking about it now, and if they've got to sit on it for 8 months and do nothing with it, they're not willing to pay much. Dunno... but that's about how it is around here. Good luck.

25 sounds like a place to start but it's a buyers market there is a glut of used trucks out there .

Bigmacktrucks.com seems to"ve shut down, but it still gets into a Mack forum; they might help. Good luck.

I think $25,000 is reasonalble. Most tuck stops have big truck classified paper for free. Take a gander at one of them and it should help give your a good idea what the going price is. Mike.

I re-read the description I gave..The dump bed is 9' long with high sides [ 48"] and oak "hungry boards" for a total of about 58"
