Actually I know a guy who ran 17.5 tires on 17 inch rims. "Just centered them good and keep them aired up tight." Unfortantly he married a really nice gal and had 6 kids with as little good sense as he has. Were is Darwin's principle when you need it?

If you look at the bead of both type of tires, you will see that they are Very different.
They won't even come close to seating up. The wheels are a different shape where the bead sets.
Don't try it.

Works great, But the thing it works great at is taking your head off when it blows off of the rim!

22.5"s are tubeless, 22"s are tube type. Do not mix and match these. If you have 22 inch tube type hubs,24.5 tubeless rims will fit the spokes.
