Was just wondering if most wheatland tractors have the rounded style fenders and if so why?

Yes they do. They are not really called clamshell fenders. They are called full fenders. They had them as typically they were used out in the western wheat fields. They would pull large finish tillage imps. which created lots of dust and tires would throw dust and dirt up on operator without big wrap-around fenders.

Actually, clamshell is the "other" kind of fender- like on 8N Fords and most other utility tractors. Look a little like half a clamshell. The full fenders are also called wheatland fenders by some.

Yes I realized after that clamshell is a different style all together and you are right, full fender describes them better for sure. Ive got full fenders as well as skirting around the platform on my JD3020 standard which gives the tractor a different look and I would guess the skirts would help in dust situations like you mentioned as well. Thanks for the information and have a good one eh?
