Warmed up a bit today and I was able to throw a little paint anyway. Still have to crawl up on a ladder and mask off those forward windows front and back.

Who knows when I'll get 'er finished. Winter is 'sposed to move in here again tonight and be snowy blowy all next week. :>(

Good news is that I finally got two condenser fans mounted and a spinnin' in the other tractor that I had to straighten all those fins on. Controls still worked after all these years; imagine that.

It's looking real fine. I always liked the earlier 66's with the white cabs. I liked the earlier doors too, with the lower glass. They seemed like a sturdier door to me too. Are you going to paint the red doors or try to find white doors? Just wondering.

Yeah,

It's gonna be just fine. Biggest problem was to remove the 30 years worth of filth and grime.

We just don't bother to rinse out all the field dust. After a few years, it gets to be 3 and 4 inches deep. Especially, in that darned condenser box on the rear of the cab.

Bet I gained an acre of ground 'round here. :>)

Yeah,

Those darned cement blocks and the galvanized pipe fittings are just one constant source of worry for me. :>)

Wind absolutely howled here yesterday and last night. Probably the worst I've ever heard it here; really concerned that these big trees were gonna do my house again. :>(

Midafternoon tho, it just stopped dead, so I got in a couple of hours anyhoo. Now, it is just the calm before the storm, 'cause the man says it is coming in here again tonight with teeth. :>(

Slow painting lets a person find all the little nooks that get missed when doing it perfectly the first time. Looking good. JimN

Yeah, I guess that's true.

I really had my doubts when I first started in with the white. Just didn't think that this was gonna work out.

But, the further I go the better it seems to look and I think when I get the red undercarriage painted and the black interior put back in it, all will be well. :>)

The stunning element is that when a person (usually an unsatisfiable grouch) looks under the wheel to see just how far the overspray went into the places that aren't visible, It will be a "whiteout", and they will be toungtied. JimN
