These are the supply & return lines off of my fuel injected 89 F-350 with a 460 gas. I've got a pretty bad leak in one of them. Can't get them from Ford & I have not been able to find them aftermarket. Have any of you guys had to replace them? Any Ideas. So far my best option is to splice them. Help is apprecitated.
Thanks
Matthew

Thanks for your input. Wound up calling around & found a shop that could repair the hard plastic lines with a kit (like you guys mentioned). Should have repaired lines this afternoon. When I was at the dealer & found out you could no longer get a new replacement, I asked what they did when they came accross one that needed repair. Parts man said they wouldn't touch it (not much help are they??)
Thanks
Matthew

Why would you want to repair a pressurized plastic gasoline line (50 or so PSI) with anything but the correct parts, approved for the job?

Two of us have posted what to look for to make a proper SAFE repair, and surely there's a shop in his area that has one of the kits.

There's ALWAYS someone looking to "cut corners", and I don't think that's a good idea with a pressurized plastic gasoline line!

I wonder if compression fittings for truck air lines would fit. Check with your local heavy truck shop and see if the size is the same.

If the ends are good you may be able to cut the steel lines and put in flexible gas line as long as it will hanle the pressure.

My local auto parts store always has a montly tool flyer, and from time to time, they have repair kits for plastic gas lines, consisting of repair fittings and line on sale.

I always though it would be a neat kit to have, but wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost.

SOOOO.... the repair kits are "out there"... you just need to ask around and find a nearby shop that has one.

A quick GOOGLE search turned up the link below. NOT cheap, but hopefully, you can find someone in your area with a repair kit and get them to splice the line or make you a new one.!
