A guy offered me a 24' Behlen bin with a fan/heater, spreader and air floor. It has vertical sheets. Are these good bins? Is Behlen still in business in Columbus, Ne? any input appreciated.

a guy called me with three Chief 6300bu. bins, the one with the floor and heater has holes through the side from rust, the one other is in good shape but the floor, roof vents, stirator ect. would have to be switched over to it. I think it is time to order a new one!

If you willing to do the work it will all fit. Moved use bins etc for few years for myself. Way cheaper than the new rout if you can do alot of it yourself, not that hard. Stirattors Thats another story would always sell those. I hate them. Usually what I got for those the bin was free.

it is too darn far from home, over 100, I offered the guy with the Butler $3000 with the intent of going up if needed, I must have offended him, he said he would call the other guy dealing on it, then he responded to my ad not knowing it was me, I called him back but he wouldn't talk to me! Some people make a person scratch their head in wonder!!!

seems like a fair offer for a bin that size. since there is no "other" guy he was foolish not to accept your offer. $300 better than a kick in the teeth.

nothing wrong with the bin,but they are lot harder to take apart and reassemble due to the vertical sheets. Need a crane unit. i have moved lots of bins but would not do those, and I think you may find the same to be true in getting it moved. Contact Mark Breullman he moves bins complete has units to do it with that would be maybe your only option. How far does it need to be moved.

I have a Behlen bin but it has the horiz. sheets. I have heard the vert. sheets are very good.

I have a Behlen bin that was given to me about 10 years ago and it had horizontal sheets. It was a pain to take down and put up because the sheets were 4" tall rather than 2.7" like most bins. There is nothing wrong with a verticle sheet bin but I"ll bet most bin movers would be reluctant to mess with it. If you do move it put a full false floor in it.
