I have an Mc C farmall 460 retrofitted w/ an alternator.Delco Remy#100542 L3 2L24 LV 12 VNE Delco BA. This has one large #10 wire on a stud at the rear housing. On top there is two prong plug and the wires from the plug are tied together to one common conductor which is lead aft but is no longer connected. The large # 10 wire goes to the battery stud on the solenoid When I first aquired the tractor the alt.did charge some of the time. Now it no longer charges. Can some one advise on this? Does the single conductor attach to the ammeter?

If you go to the archives or just search the forum for alternator conversion you will find many diagrams for how to wire it up. BTW those plugs on the side (The regulator) do go bad and are available from NAPA etc.
