I am just sticking my toes in the water here but I hope to get good insight. My county fair has dropped our yearly tractor pull last year. Many in our area was upset, because we had a very good track. I am currently working with our chamber of commerce to have a Antique Pull over July 14 as part of the our Prairie Pioneer Days in Morris MN. I have only pulled for 3 years now and am hooked ( I pull a 49 MM UTU ). I am wondering if there are any tractor clubs in the area that would like to be a part of it. A few years ago a club came to Donnelly threshing bee with Ford"s and that was great to see. Any input would be great. THANK YOU--- Jay

The Blue Ox Pullers from the Dalton Threshing show have a fun pull in June for Dalton Days and another fun pull at the threshing show in Sept.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Jay;

I have been visiting for several years to the Morris, Hancock, Starbuck and Glenwood area. Very good friends with Marvin and Mary Jo Brown.

My personal feelings are to stay away from the organized pulls and try to stay with as many of the local tractors as you can get to come. Our show at West Liberty, Ohio has a fun only pull. No cost to enter and only a trophy for 3 places as prizes. Makes for a lot of local community involvement. Maybe have a couple of farm classes for the hot dog antiques.

I know the Morris/Starbuck community pretty well and believe the Pioneer Power Club would be very involved with its membership doing all they can.

Jay, I know there is a pulling club out of Sauk Centre. I don`t know if your looking for antique tractor pullers or also the mods and pro stocks. I think the one out of Sauk is more of the mods and pro stocks though. I could find more info and post it if you want me to. Let me know, I probably won`t check in again til monday.

My brother lives in Hutchison, and there is a AC show up there every year, maybe you could spark some intrest from his mailing list.

Call Dale at 320-693-7318. He runs the pull at Forest City Threshers, and can give you many contacts. Also check with the guy who owns Nelson International (truck dealer) in Willmar. He pulls Olivers.
