Lets rate these late 60"s 90hp row crops. Not really looking for info, just like the big row crops and wonder what everyone else thinks. I came up with the order I have mostly by what they will bring in my area. #1 JD 4020 #2 Oliver 1850 #3 AC 190 xt #4 IH 806 #5 MM G-900 #6 MF 1100 #7 Case 940 Ford really didnt have a horse in this race, the 8000 was over 100hp, 6000 under 80. Yall can include them if you want to, this isnt a scientific poll.thanks

I am a big fan of 3020/4020s,but I don"t see how anybody can complain about other brands strange shift pattern. You get used to it quickly but the 20 series JDs are as strange as they get.

I think it depends alot on what your needs are in a tractor that size. If you want a nimble tractor that is easy to operate on odd jobs the 4020 should be as good as any but, if you are looking to do some plowing, heavy tillage type work I sure would pick the 806. Both good dependable tractors but those IH's were good horses with lots of power when the going got tough. bill
