My wife says:

She wants you to be more affectionate. She doesn't want stuff. She wants you to be nice to her. Give her a backrub, thank her for stuff, pick up your own damn underwear off the floor. That says I love you. A new car or jewelry just says I'm too lazy to earn your love so I hope I can buy it instead.

I gotta wonder..... how in the *ell some of you guys found someone stupid enough to marry you in the first place. Have you ever wondered how different your lives might be without someone to love and that loves you??? Sure they bitc* and complain sometimes.....but if you look at some of these posts they have plenty of reason.

yep...and what you say fits turned the other way around sometimes too. the girl i'm married to now is a wonderful dream compared to the nightmare i finaly woke up from. i'll introduce you to my ex if you wanna find out what i'm talking about...??? second thought...no i won't, wouldn't do that to my worst enemy. just saying there's good and bad on both sides of the fence that's all.

It shouldn't be TOO tough to be affectionate enough that she will soon get sick of it, and want you out of her sight for a while, and you can resume doing whatever it is you REALLY like to do.

Always works for me, at least!

Take her out to a real nice dinner believe it or not they love Sea Food try McGraff's or Red Lobster. Spend a lot and get her the best they have.
Make sure you dress up though they hate it when you show up in overalls and baseball cap.
I went to McGraff's last year spent near $100 and gave her a $3000 dollar red coral necklass. Be surprised how that settles them down.

Little woman wanted something in the drive way that would go from zero to 150 in under 6 seconds cause he missed V day. Looked out he next day and saw a gift wraped box. Took it in side and looked in and saw a bath room scale. Haven't seen the husband for several days.

Ummm, hmmm..... .... Ummm..... ....

My first thought was to tell her "Oh really, my girlfriend doesnt complain a bit, then duck.." but that was totally off the cuff advice. My second thought was hmmmm, I have not a clue.

Probably explains why I'm headed out to eat again tonight, and dining alone.

Seems that when it rains, it pours, and when it dont, its a drought.

Do you live close to a Victoria's Secret or a Bath and Body Works place? A gift card to one of those places with a "honey, I want you to pick out something nice and I didn't know exactly what color you wanted" explanations might help out.

Do like my buddy did. His wife said she wanted something that would make her feel like a real woman. He went out and got her another frying pan! Get ready to duck if you try this one--

At near 60 years old I'm just now startin to understand women.

At near 60 years old I'm startin to lose the ability to put this information to good use.

As I'm now workin on my FITH marriage, I'm prolly not the right feller to be passin this knowledge on to you.

what's the difference? if she ain't mad about one thing she'll find another...might as well be about valentine's day. buy her a box of candy anyway...even tho she would have preferred flowers, but if you had gotten flowers she would have wanted candy. so might as well buy her a biscuit joiner or a mig welder...at least when she throws you outta the house you'll have something new to play with.

one more piece of advice...don't ask for advice about your wives on THIS forum, and never ever follow any of it if you do.

Heck I still aint found my wedding ring I lost the other day, slipped out a comment bout bored in the bedroom, and tossed her fancy clothes in the drier, yes men still need to learn at 36, I am either not affectionate enough( never romantic) or I am gushing (I guess) and over do it. So my advice would do ya know good, other thatn your in the 90th percentile of husbands that will never figure out their wives lovey dovey wants, till wind changes.

Put the tractor outside and her car inside the garage. About the only way. And I doubt you'll ever do that.

The last I knew , Valentines day was not gender specific. It is a two way street. I believe 99.9% of wimens have forgoten this.Remember in grade school , girls gave cards to guys and visa versa? If there are any wimens reading this , just remember and spread the word , "men are your valentines , too". It's a 50/50 , equal oportunity holiday and always has been. So don't forget to ask "where's mine" when the day comes!
