big news here...all the trim is painted and i didn't even pick up a brush!! the wife and kid took over...i think they were just tired of hearing me gripin' about paintin'? also...the outside remodel got started today so "you know who" is just as happy as a pig in....well...you know. don't know if you'll check the forum tonite or not...just wanted to say get well soon. Yeah, I am recuperating after soaking in the heat from the fireplace all day. Of course I had to pick a day when it was 52 degrees outside and sunny. You're totally right - I thought the ritual of sharing every disease that the school kids caught was long past.

I notice that you used the greatest tool known to man in order to complete the painting - procrastination. It has helped me "finish" many dull and tiring jobs in the past. After all, it isn't important who does it as long as it gets done.

I am hoping to get started on the cast iron tomorrow. Once I get that cleaned and painted, the crankshaft turned, and the front axle support built up in the rear hole where it is out of round, I will be ready to move the process to my son's shop where we have room to start putting it back together. I'm in no hurry as long as I get a little done each day.

Now if I can just avoid the four-year old granddaughter and her daycare germs..... .....
