How rare is a Massy Harris 44 Diesel? Got a neighbor that has one. My brother is wanting to buy it. He says if I help I can use it in the hay field. The guy that it, his son in laws brother is a machinery jock for bigger, newer IH stuff. I would think that if it was worth much it would of been gone a long time ago. Ive only seen one other one at a salvage yard that sells some good ones also. They didnt think it was all that rare. There fore I ask the question.

Thanks
Gary

They aren't all that rare. I believe it is a continental diesel. I think they used an engine like that in the IH 300 utility too.

MH 44 engine is Continental HD 260. I think the engine in the International was a GD 157.

The engine in the IH was a GD-193.
