I need to locate a set of rod bearings for a 1936 Model D john deere. they are not avail. from dealer and I believe there must be a source that other people have used.

Some D's used a replaceable babbit insert type rod part# AD671R and I think they fit the D103R rods,is that the # rod you have? I think I have a set NOS, but I'd have to check. Let me know.

This engine should have babbit bearings from the factor unless some one went to a lot of trouble and expense to change them to an insert type. The rods with babbit are usually adjusted by shims if the crankshaft is in good round condition.
