Well I finally got the word on what Pa. DOT law requires. They tell me that I am illegal
with a 1/2 ton plate on my GMC pickup pulling a 7000 lb. trailer. I must get the vehicle registration changed to 14,000 GVCW. This means going from a class 2 to a class 5. The new registration will cost $243.00. I guess it beats a fine.

What a load of crap. I haul tractors to a couple tractor shows within 12 miles of my house. Hell I don't put more that 500 miles on my trailer a year. I cannot justify $243 to plate my truck, just to haul my stuff to a couple shows. Guess I'll sell the trailer and keep my tractors at home. Isn't it grand to live in "Tax em till they bleed Pa". Our worthless Govenor promised to help the working class before he was elected. Typical politician, after being elected, promises forgotten. Glad I can say I didn't vote for the scum.

They are also giving you some margin on ratings, some truck manufactures only rate the GVCW for a half ton truck at 12,500
