I wasn't even aware there was such a show but I am not a serious collector either. In another post I made a while ago, (before seeing this post), I asked if anyone knew a source of a model of the MF 180.

If anyone reading this thread knows of a source, please advise.

TIA

There's always a grouch in the bunch I collect toys because I like them and my parents could't afford when I was growing up . The only farm toy I have is a 1715 Ford/New Holand, but do have a Garden railroad . Have 8 engines and about 30 cars & 650' of track down in yard . After working 70 to 80 hours a week in 5 days . It was nice to just play with railroad on sat & sun or just sit & watch trains run . Is even better after retiring 4 years ago .

I just wonder about Adults who collect Toys, I know the toy is cute, but that's not a reason to collect them, I suppose some Adults just like to ack like a kid and don't want to grow up.

Some one is getting rich off of them who like to play with Little Toys, that's a shame.

Many collect toys, because they can't afford, or store the originals and they remind them of bygone years working when as a youngster they had to work like an adult so the family could survive. It's real tough to store a full size Oliver Super 99 in a Chicago brownstone. I might regard it a little weird if someone collects Cabbage Patch Dolls and spends all day having tea parties with them, but adults collecting farm toys, don't crawl around on the floor making tractor noises. Regardless, I or "we" have earned the money and can spend it freely as we choose. In my opinion it is significantly better to spend it on toys and time at a toy show, then waste both at a local bar or at the psychiatrist office. LaGary, those IH's look great!

Congratulations you've just offended about everyone on here. Not many people have that talent. If others are like me I wrote down your ID # and will see eventually who you are and remind everyone. Thanks. Jim

I just wonder about people who place ignorant post and dont use there normal handle. I suppose some people just like to act like rude kids and dont want to grow up.
Maybe you should see a specialist about your problems.

YA --- there will be those who will do anything to defend their habits, it's like drugs --- you may well need a specialist for your probems if you don't want to grow up...

I think of it more of a hobby and collecting a bit of history.

Make fun of it all you want it won't stop me from collecting them and some day you will wish you were my grandson so you could have them all.

Gary

Thats right keep the money in circulation.

Why would anyone go out to eat when they can eat at home?

Why buy a new car when the old one still runs?

Why buy new clothes are yours all wore out?

Why build a new house did yours fall down?

Its all in what we personally want to do.

I don't make fun of what poeple do and I could care less about what they think of what I do.

But I do use my regular handle because I'm not afraid to admit to what I say.

Have a good day.

Well Jimmy, that shows that a 65 year old child with the name Jimmy likes toys, I bet you get up at night and sneak into the living room and play with them when your wife is sleeping...

Please note I am not afraid to use my name!

Some people collect small toys. Model trains are toys. So are Teddy Bears, Barbie Dolls, Diecast Cars, GI JOE, Startrek Figures, Plastic model kits of all types, and yes the ERTL Diecast farm Toys are collectable also.

you do not have to collect Stamps, Coins, Firearms or antique tools to have an enjoyable hobby, unlike what mr. "ADULT" with Toys seems to think.

Deliberately offending other people is certainly not something I would expect and "Adult" to do, however, so if I question as to wether or not mr "ADULT" is really an adult, please don't act surprised.

By the way, MY toy tractor collection resembles the red one, except it's GREEN!

I am red through and through, but if I had a lot of money I would have some green toys also I like to look at them also. I just like Tractors old and new, real ones and toys. Just for the record I love to hear the old 2 bangers run.

Jimmy's wife has been deceased several years now. I really like your name too "Adults with Toys" I bet when you were growing up you got heckled a lot with the last name "Toys"!
