Aloha, The forklift sales rep. told me that I could lift the front two wheels off the ground by using the mast tilt. I tried it and couldn"t get to lift the front tires off the ground because the carriage also went up. My forks are 42" long so I was wondering if it works for 48" forks. Any thought to this?? TIA

Mahalo,
doogdoog

Aloha, Yes, it is a regular forklift and thanks for all the replies and I will try the block method.

Pitch is right. Have done that many times. And by placing blocks under tires & repeating can lift as high as you want. Gets a bit wobbly when jacked up over 18 inches this way.

Your talking a regular forklift right? I haven't been around forklifts for 15 years but you can do it. Lift it just enough to change a tire or put on chains. Raise your forks enough to get them out of your way and tilt back . jam blocking under the bottom of each lower mast section or under the side you want up and tilt forward . Should lift 4 or 5 inches.
