Around $2.40 for 87, $1.70 for diesel. However, almost no diesel powered personal vehicles here and all fuel is Pemex monopoly.

It's called Ultra Low Sulpher Diesel. That is the reason Diesel is now more then gas

$1.93-1.99 for low & mid grade E10.

$2.65 for road diesel, about 20 cents less for offroad.

Cold snaps in New England always make diesel go up - they use the most heating fuel, supply & demand depends on cold weather in N E.

Part of the price drop of both gas & diesel is the warm weather (until now) in N E. Diesel was in over supply, switched more to gas production. Now if demand goes up, will have to switch back, that will cost.....

You guys are lucky, regular gas is $2.34, diesel finally dropped below $3.00 last week. This morning it's still at $2.79. This is in southeastern WA.

It takes less work and effort to make diesel, so it probably should be lower at the pumps but remember how supply and demand can and will raise and lower the prices. You know all that big equipment running around over there in Iraq? You do realize it all runs on diesel. Yep, our own military is a huge customer and probably is partly to blame for the diesel vs. gasoline costs here at home.
As of yesterday, Reg. unl. 1.99, diesel 2.29 in far south TX.

I thought it was more of a case of soccer moms and insecure males driving diesel burning 3/4 ton and heavier SUVs and crew cabs as grocery getters instead of Camrys and Accords. 15 years ago only a few people used diesel burning light trucks, now your dentist, doctor or UAW worker has one to tow his boat to the lake.

As for your Iraq idea, the US does not ship refined fuel to Iraq, its a lot cheaper to buy it in Kuwait, about .18 per liter at the pump.

I don't know of any of my UAW guys here with a big diesel at work, but I see a lot of them on the road, with no cargo, and 1 person. We are generally a thrifty ( CHEAP! ) bunch.
