John,

Is it hard plastic or a softer vinyl? Beware as many mixtures will fade or dull that area you are trying to remedy. I bought a brand new pickup (first all new model dealer had sold). I looked it over good and drove it home that evening from dealer. Next day I notice splotching all over the dash. The dealers cleaning crew had used a cleaner that ruined the color. They had used that cleaner for years but it didn't mesh with the new style of plastic. I had to have the whole dash replaced.

Anyway, I think I'd swing by a auto dealership or detail shop and ask them for some advice on correct product for your particular material.

Gonna call you again one of these days. Super 88 is coming along.

i thought about buffing them out with plastic polishing rouge compound and a buffer wheel.
