Went for a short walk down my drive about 1/2 hour ago. Could hear trees going down all over the neighborhood.

About 1/2" of ice on everything here in Southern/Lower Michigan. Power is out. Generator is on. ;o]

How is your weather ?

8-9 in. of dry, powderery snow and not to much wind, just enough to drop the snow on the roads. Temps are going below 0 tonight. I feel for you guys going through the ice, that is the worst kind of conditions. I would sooner have 12 in. of snow rather than .2 of freezing rain. Like I say, in Minnesota it can snow at 40 degrees, and rain at 20.

Up to 18 after 7 in W TX panhandle and bright sun out after 3 days of ice fog and sleet. Had snows earlier already but still behind on moisture yet it is wet our playa lakes are still way down or no water in them yet we have snow geese staying. Seems weird because they usually are only passing by.

Been a roller coaster this winter. Winter is typically dry in FLA but this yr. we have gotten more rain than we did tail end of summer.

Also temps are swinging wildly. Last wx up to 80F on Saturday which really adversly impacted Youth Hunt for deer (2 does). Now this coming Wed it is supposed to be in 40s during the day and low 30's upper 20's in the eves. 40 swings. Been like this most of the winter.

Been cold and clear for several days in western Washington, with some freezing fog thrown in- 18 this morning, may hit freezing if we're lucky this afternoon. 2 inches of snow on the ground, more to come tonight and tomorrow. We rain worshippers are getting a little tired of it- where's that $#^% El Nino they keep talking about?

44.9N, 93.3W…….This may have been suggested previously, when posting something that is global position sensitive, like weather, preceded the message with your latitude and longitude. This could improve the information. If you do not know exactly what your L&L is you can get it by going to this link and putting in your postal zip code. Clear, +5F, 3-4 inches new snow since yesterday p.m.

Warm and cozy here. Took a long hot shower this morning. Don't know why but almost everyone around here has power out but our little strip is on. We are about an hour from you and have the same amount of ice. You DID remember to throw a tarp over my plow, right? I actually have something that can pull it now.

Well....someone painted it yellar but we will get around to fixing that sooner or later. I can see the red paint underneath! She's real pretty other than the color and as long as that thick paint is protecting the metal while I take my time getting around to some repairs it is OK in my book.

Snow and blowing snow. Started out with a tiny bit of freezing rain but didn't amount to much. Had to scoop the walk to the garage at about four o clock this morning so the wife could get into town for an early shift as dispatcher. Kinda looks like the 'ol H will be coming out of the shed later today for some serious snow removal.

Here too in the ceral capital (Battle Creek)we are all iced over and school is cancelled. Looks as if the boys and I will be cutting out pine wood derby cars (cub scout thing) today in stead of the school thing. All though we do have power as of now with a generator on stand by if needed.
