I have a Freeman loader on a Jubilee operated by a valve under the seat and a trip bucket. After installing a loader mounted control valve and a double acting cylinder on the bucket, the loader works fine but not the bucket. I've been told I need to change the valve from closed center to open center by turning a screw. Where is the screw & how do I adjust it. Make of valve unknown but has number 2737 & stamped H-4

Does the valve you put on the bucket have one lever
for the bucket, and one for the loader lift. Are
your lift cylinders 1 way or two way? Try this ques-
tion on the Ford 8n board.

Why do you think it is a closed center valve.
Did you plumb the valve by connecting it to the external hydraulics of the tractor, and then tying the valve open to keep the fluid going thru the new valve. If its a closed center, the tractor valve will try to kick off when on the loader, both valves
are in neutral. Also your loader valve may have a
float position and if you pull the valve to that position nothing will happen except the bucket will
slowly dump if the bucket is hooked to the float capable lever. Where does the return line for the
loader valve hook up on the tractor?

I guess I assumed it was closed center because the bucket side seems to have no pressure to that side. the pressure is coming from the orginal valve under the seat and it has to be tied down. the return line is tapped back into the oil reservior. the new valve has two fittings underneath-one the pressure line and the other the return line. On top one fitting for the loader--it works fine-lever back-loader up--lever forward-bucket down. the other lever does not seem to have any pressure . but moving the lever forward or back does seem to connect to the return line(moving the bucket by hand) In other words the one side of the valve does not seem to connect to the pressure at any time..I sure appreciate any help you can give me. thanks
