Howdy,

I'm gettin ready to buy a pair of flat top fenders for my JD 720 and need some lights. Does anyone know of a good source for reasonably priced sealed beam lights? I've seen several aftermarket places selling repro. lights at prices that are way too high. I'm not looking for something quite so flashy. Thanks in advance. God bless.

When I restored my 630 I was new and in a hurry to get parts and get going. I went to the Deere dealer and ordered 5 new lights. I thought anything from the dealer was automatically correct. I put them on and they work and look great, except the rear one. The only difference you will see is the seal around them and mounted in the fender it is hard to notice. I like the brightness over the stock and won't change back just to be correct. Check the dealer.

Have you contacted the scrapyards, that's where I found mine.
New ones were to pricey from the dealers.

If you want them to look and fit like the originals, you are going to have to pay the price for the reproductions. If you just want something that will work, and don't care how they mount or how they look, just visit your local farm store and get a set of some universal mount lights, drill some extra holes in those new fenders, and you're good to go.
