Saw this posting on E~Bay and had to chuckle at what the seller claims. Claims it was bought new and only driven by the farmers wife. So my question, would that be a good thing or a bad thing? I know in the case of my wife, that would be a bad thing....
actually a very bad thing. After several totaled cars, who knows what she could have done to one of my tractors!
Any good or bad experiences on your end?

well with the tractors, I tend to be more careful - however, if it was the pick-up, you might want to look very closely before buying.....the speakers are more than likely busted and I am sure that speed odometer is off just a fuzz..... .

Learned years ago never buy anything that come with a hand writen petagreeor told ONLY DRIVEN BY A LITTEL OLD LADY . AS i have had the experiance more then once as i am a slow learner and paid the price of such . The best buys i have found is from the dead rows and when people have told me that SHE IS JUNK . When i sold tractors and such unless i handed ya the written warranty for the new clutch and T/A it was as is where is and that was on the sales bill and signed . Sorta like my first car a 56 ford rag top ONLY DRIVEN BY A LITTEL OLD LADY SCHOOL TEACHER , yea wright with a thunderbird special with dual quads and Hollywood mufflers .

that can go both ways. All I know is in all the hired help I have had over the years, the majority of the time the women have turned out better than the men. have had them on hay crews, machinery operate and also in the shop helping do equipment assemble. When I did grain bins had three on that crew. One thing I have really found out is come Monday morning they were always there on time unlike some of the other gender. I currently have one on my carpenter crew this year. as far as it having to do with anything someone is selling doesn't mean squat to me.

I dont listen much to the guys that tell me where the tractor has been or who drove it, they usually try to butter up the story to make you buy it. The main thing I ask them is what did you use it for? and why are you selling it and see what there answer is.

Funny.

My wife took over fall plowing for me. She does tend to stall the engine once in a while, which can't be good for the turbo.

On the other side, in the past 3 years she's plowed about 300 acres, & I've plowed 25 with the same rig.

She's had fuel & oil added. Cleans the windshield now & then.

I've had 2 flat rear tractor tires, a busted hyd hose, a busted oil cooler line on the tractor, ran it out of diesel, a bolt broke causing the tail wheel to fall off, and a few small things.

So, who is the better operator, or has the better luck at least?

I agree with buickand deere

If she drove like my sister did then this tractors front tires were off the ground whenever the clutch was let out. I still dont know how she got a loader tractor to pop a wheelie.

That tractor has had the cab cut off. The ones I've seen before at auctions were English tractors, well used, no AC, cab obvioustly cut off because beat up and rusted out. Don't know if this means farmer's wife drove it or not. My wife's tractor driving has been limited to driving it up and down the driveway while she loaded leaves on a trailer. Glad for her to do that.
