Can a guy get away with running the thick walled 3/8" fuel line from the tank to primary fuel filter in diesel applications?

You might check into truck air brake plastic line. They use this on fuel lines and air brake lines, even hooked up the water cooler at work with it.

yup air brake plastic line and proper compression fittings would be my first choice, thats what my gradall excavator had from the factory for fuel line as well as grease lines. my next choice would be steel brake line in a large diameter. if its all ya got or a hard place to run it thru then yes the rubber fuel line rated for diesel or oil will work but tends to be short lived

Wain Roy All Hydraulic Digger in reply to markct, 01-05-2007 14:31:28
Hi-
I noticed you posted a picture of an old wain-roy backhoe "all hydraulic digger" that was your grandfather's. I just picked one of these up, specifically a model 49. I was wondering if you knew the model # of the one in the picture and/or had any more pictures. Mine is all in pieces in need of restoration, is missing the bucket and I don't really have anything to go by at the moment. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

We use it for grease hose at work... Should be fine, but perhaps someone else can shed some light on this...

Let's go Mountaineers,

Aaron
