You are right about Cosma being the other name. Guess my head was in the stars. I am currently working inside one of their plants with a contract firm doing quailty issue tracking and helping to tweek the operation to get better products out to the consumer. The plant currently builds truck and suv frames for Ford.
Thanks for the posts it's good to know all you can about a client when working these projects.

It seems that Magna is a supplier that sets up anywhere an auto plant is.. I am sure they have one plant, here in SC, to make stampings for the BMW Plant.. IIRC, they are building another one..

Magna is a very large supplier. The auto supplier industry has been consolidating for years. A lot of the smaller ones are already gone. These suppliers have taken over much of the design, tooling, manufacturing, subassembly and financing for major systems. For example, most paint shops at GM are actually run by PPG. Johnson Controls and Lear build most of the seating and interiors. Magna builds waterpumps and some other accesory items for our plant. Eventually they all want to go to the Japanese system, where the maker (Toyota, Nissan, Ford...) will have a pretty small workforce in the plant, just doing final assembly and quality checks on the finished product. Most of the plant will be made up of supplier's personnel. It's all about keeping the labor costs down.
