Rubber couplings

Anybody know what they call those rubber couplings
with the stainless steel band around them and a hose
clamp on each end.??

I think they are called Hubbless adpters and one brand of them are Fernco.

You'd be close. If its got the stainless band, we call them "no-hub bands" for joining bare end cast iron. Not sure if Fernco actually makes them or not. Fernco is more known for their repair couplings than no-hub bands, but you may well be right.

Might be a transition coupling if it's used to join dissimilar materials in a plumbing vent.

Do you mean lovejoy couplings like those used to connect shafts- or the kind that connects a fan and motor on an oil burner. I don't know what the second one is called.
