Can anyone here tell me of antique or classic tractor clubs? My grandfather died and he left several old tractors, combines, and large trucks. These are all 1940s vintage. I'd like to know if anyone would be interested. There are also several 1940s cars on his farm.

If you were here in Massachusetts I would tell you that the stuff ain't worth much and you might as well just about give it away. But since you are too far away from me :) ..... Heed Dennis' advice. Do some research on what things are worth, then have a sale or an auction.

You can do some easy research right on the web to see what prices people are asking. Photo ads on this site is an easy place to start for tractors. Try www.oldride.com for the cars and trucks.

Also, if there is any interest in the family for having any of your grandfathers machines, tools, etc. they should get first dibs, though I can see all kinds of problems arising there. How about an auction limited to family and friends for starters?

Good luck.

Engineers and Engines magazine is all about antique tractors and machinery. There are many links and advertisements for shows and clubs all over the US and a bit into Canada.
