Obesity is right behind smoking as a cause of death.
Lets ban McDonalds, Twinkies and such in the same places that smoking is banned.

What is next in this for your own good law scheme of things anyway ?

When you say smoke free, do you mean no smoking in public places or what? I know that a lot of government building are smoke free.

Yep!! And where will they stop? THIS COUNTRY IS RAPIDLY TURINING INTO A NANNY SOCIETY!! I usta smoke..don't anymore (due 3 health reasons),but oppose any GUMMINT restrictions on that sorta thing! I allow folks to smoke in my place, keep ashtrays 4 guests, etcetc. What will the NANNIES go after when da smoke clears? Now, they are goin' after the fast-food industry. Maybe they'll have us all eatin' SOYLENT GREEN, which is their ultimate goal!! We must stop this MADNESS!!

Next month they will be checking up on ya in your bedroom and keeping track of the fun times then either you will be taxed on it or have to have a permit and then only during legal hours and a weekly limit and don't tell me that they can't do that as they can't look thru your wall , ya want to bet.

Heck, nothing new to us here in Ontaio. Been like that for some time. It all depends on the amount of enforcing you do. So as far as the commercial vechiles go, doubt u'd see much chage. Paul

It's illegal to smoke in a company truck in ohio now also. That includes ups, mail, over the road truckers in ohio, even if there passing through ohio.No smoking in any bussiness place inside or out,not even in your personal car in the parking lot.The law also dose away with smoke breaks at factorys or bussinesses, anywhere on the property.

That law will be struck down so fast it will make your head spin! The next time I go thru Ohio, I will certianly be smoking in the cab of my truck. Not Ohio or anyone else is going to tell me what I'll be doing in my home or inside my personal property. Ain't gonna happen!

I agree 100% , if someone is intent on shortening their life, and the quallity of it, by smoking then if they aren't infringing on the right of someone else to be able to breath fresh air , then let them be. BUT! Along with the PRIVELEGE of smoking should come a 50% increase in the smoker's health ins. premiums (obvious reasons). Also a 25% increase in home-owners ins. premiums ( oh , silly me , houses never catch on fire from smokers falling asleep) Nicotine is a drug that reacts on certain areas of the brain that alters our state of being and is most addictive. My my, isn't that the definition of drug addiction?? My , aren't we a country of double standards! People go to prison for selling and smoking tobacco! It's called marijuana instead of Winston. Guess it must just be something in the brand name that makes one OK and the other illegal. So since we know that none of the "Winston Drug Addicts" out there are ever going to pitch in and help pay what it's costing our "non-addicted" taxpayers for additional health care and other insurance costs , then daddy must take away their priveleges. Don't ever think that smoking is your bussiness. Records and statistics have proven you wrong a long time ago. Why don't you just stop?? Isn't that what you would tell your son or daughter if they "chose" cocain as "their" nicotine? Don't fool yourself , there is NO difference! Oh,yes their is!! You will probably die from doing Winstons before they will from cocain.

Wel, brother, Im one of those Winston Drug Addicts. My insurance rates are higher because of it, and I pay them freely, without debate. My homeowners insurance is not higher, but I dont smoke inside anyways.I have my wife and kids to think about.I suffer the consequences by standing in the cold, heat, snow and rain on my back porch, that I bought and paid for. I wait until my kids get out of my truck at school, and wait until I pull out of the school parking lot, before I light up.If we go out we sit in the non smoking sections, which are very few now, most restaurants are smoke free, and I dont complain.I cant smoke inside at work, but the company I work for, which makes the IV bags Im sure one day Ill have plugged into me, has provoided a space for me to smoke without bothering anyone who doesnt smoke. You are very right, smoking is an addiction, and a bad one.I wish I didnt, but stopping is incredibly hard I have tried several times. The day some government official tells me I cant smoke, Ill tell him to kiss my .....

same as seat belts. you drive too fast, tailgate, etc. it is all okay if you have the belt on. that way when you hit someone and they get killed, at least you had yours on. if the government won't touch morality issues, why do they have to save us from ourselves in other ways. immorality is a more deadly killer than smoking. a non smoker.
