Will no longer be. There was a place in the area called Hoods, family plce that was past down to the son. Well either yesterday or last night the roof caved in on it becase of the snow load on the roof. Place looked like an old barn till then and now all it is, is a pile of scrap lumber with a lot of good stuff that will probably go bad because of sitting in the weather. I know he will not rebuild because he was just getting by in the first place but its sad to see.

Same name but not the same place/family. There where 3 of them then 2 and now maybe one left from this family.

Old, I don't know where you are, but when I lived near Troy, Mo. the Hood's at Wentzville got a lot of money when I was remodeling a couple of old houses I lived in. There is one in Farmington, Mo. but don't know if it is part of the same family.

Nope not the same family either. These are close to the lake of the ozarks of Missouri. The way I have heard the story the one guy had 3 stores and when he died he gave one stor to each son and one to his brother. The one son sold out years ago because he liked drugs more then his store and the other kept tring but the big chain stores where killing him which is the one that just fell down. Not sure of what happened to the other one
