Not frozen here in Massachusetts - in the upper 60s, but supposed to cool down to the 30s by next week. Gotta get my garlic in and strawberries covered this weekend!

Here in balmy southern Michigan it's about 32F-wind blowing hard and just switched from rain to snow at 1:00p.m. I was working in the barn today, salamander going of course, when a sheet of fiberglas blew off the roof. That was a fun job repairing it in the wind and rain. I said "enough" & went inside. I have drive the Grand Marshall (returned soldier fromIraq) in our Christmas parade tonight in my M38a1 Jeep. No top or sides or heat---that'll be a fun ride to town.

Overcast and warming here in WCCO, already up to 19 and the snow settled down to 9 or 10 inches yesterday. I even cancelled my flight to Palm Beach since it"s so nice here. :>)

SW Idaho - snow started 'bout 4pm, quit around the time I got home at 7:30pm. Snow was mostly beat off the main roads, but side roads were pretty icy.

Coming to work this morning, traffic was pretty much at a crawl. The weather-guessers are saying highs around 30 - 31 F, not much melt-off.

I've got about 1/2" snow at the house, 1" at work.

Gettin' dumped on this morning in Stoughton, WI. I think we are only gonna get 3 or 4 inches...but that should be enough to make sure the flat-landers end up in the ditch on Interstate 90 driving 80 MPH in the snow.

I think I found your snow. Here in my part of cent. IL it looks like everything has come to a complete standstill. Around a foot of snow and steady 25mph winds will make things interesting. I havent even plugged the 1086 in so I can blow snow later. The snow is supposed to quit by noon but the wind will stay all day. I guess it would be fair to say we are getting december started off with a bang! bill

Storm is just now getting foothold in Michigan. Temperatures are just below freezing, and precipitation is in the form of sleet and freezing rain south, freezing rain, sleet, changing to snow north. We"re in west-central, and we"re projected to get 6 to 12 inches. I"m predicting less (probably wishful thinking!)
Local TV station is showing over 300 closures - takes 45 minutes to scroll thru all of them on the screen. Soon"s I get the chores done I"m going to put the plow on the truck. Wife wants me to take her to work this afternoon - she works 35 miles from home, health care - no one gets a day off whatever the weather. Son attends and works at the community college - it is closed to students and employees. When this ends this afternoon, I have about 4 hours of plowing to do for the church, parsonage, and a couple friends.

Our plant in W. Central Illinois is closed this morning due to bad weather. As you said, cold here but at least no snow! We have to go to Quad Cities tonight. May be a different story over there. Sounds like they are getting in on the white stuff.

Front blew through last night.
34 right now and a forcast of 30 for lows and 55 to 60 for highs the next couple of days.

Wind did protect my plants last night but it will die down today so we will get a frost tonight killing all the tender plants.
