Well, be careful what you wish for! I've been chapped by all the guys that get to plow snow every winter since it's been pretty scarce around here (W. Colo.) lately. It started yesterday about 9 am and was pretty much over by 8:30 pm BUT we had 14" here where the wind didn't blow it off. It was a GOOD DAY! Here's the plow team taking a break. :-)

I like your VAC! I grew up on a VAC with a narrow front end and had a lot of fun with it. Wish I had it now, but my Dad gave it to my brother and he traded it in when he bought a new New Holland a few years ago.

I bet you wish you had chains. My Fords are almost useless in ice and snow without them. A really good investment.

I"ve got a set of chains but I didn"t need them this time.....cold enough for good traction and those are near new Havest Kings on the hind-end. If we get more I will probably need them since it"s been sunny and I"ve pretty much packed everything down.

We've finally got a turnaround in western Washington- started November with rain and floods (66 homes destroyed in eastern Lewis County), then more rain (almost 16 inches for the month, an all-time record), then snow, temps in the teens, then more snow, then last night, just good ole drizzle. 37 degrees this morning, snow about gone. Northern portion had it worse on the cold- single digits, more snow, but they've warmed up too. Migraine got a migraine over this, I'm sure.

Yea, I'm pretty much a basket case. Had 3 tractors and a snow blower going yesterday and 7 men working. And it is a known fact that you CANNOT please all the people all the time. Trying to keep smiling and hope for warmer conditions today. Could sure use a Krispy Creme about now.Migraine

Well here at 7:30 its still 30 degrees. There is just enough ice to have the shed door froze so I had a little trouble getting it open. Rain gauge has 1.5inches from overnight and I broke the holder for the gauge when I tried to dump it. It is windy and they are still calling for more freezing rain to be followed by heavy snow and it isnt cold enough to freeze the ground yet so it is a soft muddy mess. Good news is the 1086 is running and I will have the blower hooked up shortly. I was thinking about going to farm sale today but I dont know if they will try to have it. Becareful out there! bill

Do you have tire chains for that Case? We are going to get about 5" or so in my area of Michigan tomorrow.

Looks like I will have the "opportunity" to play in the snow after tomorrow here in SE KS. Weatherman said we're to get about an inch of ice, then 12-17" of snow on top of that. Good thing I've got a good pile of wood. Looks like it will be lights out before it's all over with. If we do get that much, will be more snow than we have gotten over the last five years put together. Global warming my a$$.

Well it sounds like that is what is breathing down our necks tonight. We have been in the upper 60's the last couple days and have had thunderstorms off and on today. Heavy rain continues tonight. Tomorrow the predictions are for ice accumulations in the morning to be followed by snow ending sometime friday with accumualtions to one foot. Lots of mud, a layer of ice, a foot of snow and 30 mph winds. Looks like a couple of tough days in IL. Note to self, hook up snowblower in the morning! bill

Oh yeah the colder air hit here this evening too with the blowing snow and only about 15 here in west TX panhandle. It comes right off those NM rockies and back up over the caprock here.

Now I know what I have to look forward to in Michigan thursday and friday. I am looking out right now and seeing a steady rain and it is still kind of warm out. Not going to be a good couple of days.
