Im thinking about filling a new rear tire on my Massey 50 with used anti freeze, this used anti freeze might have a very small amount of oil in it. Any expererience or advice appreciated.

Works BUT if its the old green stuff I wouldn't do it because of problems with animals drinking it and being unsafe to the ground if you get a leak. Other wise it works well. If you need info on how to fill them drop me an e-mail and I'll send you a page from am owners manual that tell you how

I would not put oil bearing fluid into the tires. The tube is usually made from rubber that is only moderately oil resistant. If in continuous contact, it will deteriorate the rubber and cause failure. Straining the hydrocarbons out of the coolant is possible. Let it stand and absorb as much as possible with paper towels from the surface. Use a coffee filter to strain the remaining material slowly. Please use the additive that makes it yuckie to animals. There is an embittering agent you can add to the ethelyne glycol so that animals will not drink it. I don't know what it is called.

Works ok, but if it leaks you are technically in violation of federal EPA laws and will likely kill some critters that taste it.
RV or the new non toxic antifreeze would be ok.
