Where is your axe and fork? I take it you must not be using the windmill any more.

Mornin',

Naw, this is for one of the tanks in at the corrals. Gotta tune 'er up a bit this morning; darned thing looks like the plug is about ready to go and then run a hundred feet of overhead to get to the silly tank.

It's been bangin' pretty darned hard here the last few nights and the critters just aren't keeping ahead of the ice.

Did you ever read the wattage of that thing, then times 24 hours a day times 30 days times current charge? Last I needed one, I went looking for a little one, like 250 watt, but couldn't fine one. Find you a propane one.

Hi Kenny,

I've got a propane one but just don't wanna fiddle with the gas.

This electric unit is 1500 watts. It is setup just like a spud celler heater. Has a thermostat with a thermocoupler and shuts off at 40 degrees. Plus, I use partial tank covers as well.

I know what ya mean tho, that doesn't mean a heck of a lot when it's really cold. :>(

Sure have been happy the past 4 years with my earth tube waterer. Need to chop the skin off if it's near zero & strong winds, but worked good even to 25 below with little wind. Don't have to pay electric bill, or worry about shorts or breakers or power outages.

Good evening Allen. I take it that is some type of heater. I was wondering what it was for?

Thanks Darin

Either that, or a fancy mattress warmer.
