JD 5510 loader problem after re-connect

I have a low-hour JD 5510 and JD loader with it. Always stored inside and excellent maintenance.
I took the loader off to do some routing things and when I put it back on I could not get the loader to function normally. It wouldn't go up or down except haltingly and would stop halfway. Very jerky.
Thinking of air in the line I disconnected things and pressed the buttons on the end of the quick connects and hoses and tried again. Same thing. Maybe better; maybe not.
Ten minuates later no luck again. It seems the tractor is struggling when I work the loader but no dice. Halting and jerkey are the wqords that come to mind.
Any ideas?

Could be air if you _replaced_ some hoses, but not just with disconnects. Sounds like you got the wrong hoses going to the wrong places, or don't have the quick connects seated right.

Mine did the same thing when I hooked it up this fall. I finally figured out that I had the lines hooked up wrong. I switched them around and it worked as it should.

Make sure that any quick connect couplings are seated all the way in and that the hoses are not crossed. Also check and make sure that the loader itself is not binding mechanically.

Sounds almost like the hoses may be crossed. I would double check the connections to be sure they are correct and connected all the way....hope this helps, Jim

Grabbin' at ideas here, but make sure your connections are seated good and that the oil level is where it should be.
