I have 1953 Oliver 88 gas and a 1940 international Td-6 diesel crawler. Does anyone happen to know roughly what the HP of each is? Thanks!

My Neb test list has the 88=42HP if gas and 43HP if diesel. My list doesn't have the TD in it

Old ----
What do you think.....I have been living with this information for many years now.....we had a'49 farmall M with a IH ,sleave and piston power kit,I guess to make it a super M....my uncle was a Oliver dealer....the two tractors both pulling 3; 14" plows 8" deep, in the same field....every 5-6 rounds the 88 would have to pull over and let the M pass....

Really hard to say a lot depends on what comdition the engines etc are in as to which may or may not pull as well. I know my Super 88 has and does out pull a lot of farmalls like the 450 I had. The Oliver S88 would pull circle around the Farmall 450 I had.

Old; Probably has more to do with a slight diff. in the ratios of plow gears in ea. tractor and less to do with the actual power. Niether one will have any problems with 3btm. plows.

Go to the Oliver discussion page and ask there, guys there will likely know. And for the IH crawler go to the crawler page and they will likely know that answer. You just have to scroll down to each discussion page on each Mfg.
