I have an OLD cap that looks like an eagle. The cap would have been hinged on one side and the eagle body on the cap acts as the lever that would have released the cap and allowed it to lift. Wings extend out around the cap. There is a hole in the center of the cap.

Does anybody know what this is and what the make of it is? I've been told that this is VERY rare.

Opps. I see there is a hole for a Motometer (temp gauge). That is a radiator cap for an old car. I have one on a 1913 car. They were probably aftermarket.

I think it is aftermarket which means it could have been bought by an individual and used on different models and years. Mine is on a Case. It could also have been used from the factory on different models by different companies. Not sure. Value depends on condition. Guess from 50 to couple hundred in mint condition.

That sounds like a radiator cap off an antique car. Is there a hole for a Motometer?

Sure wouldn't keep your head very warm with a hole in the middle.

Case used to have an eagle standing on top of a globe as their logo.
