Anybody hittin' the woods tomorrow for the firearm deer opener? What county are you all hunting in? Looks like it will be a good season here in Livingston County, deer are real thick, both bucks and does.

I live in Cohoctah township. My buddies have taken 1 deer on my property and one on my neighbors. Good size does. I haven't hunted in about 3 years now, neither have any of our group of 6. Between the TB in the deer and everybody just losing interest, don't know if we will ever go again. I sure hope I don't get one with a vehicle!!!

I have something unusual to offer to you shotgun states only. I have an old Smith and Wesson pumpgun I need to part with. Its got 3 barrels a 30 full.. ..28 mod.. and a shighted slug barrel. Its in Tn. and I will do a transfer from my ffl dealer to your ffl dealer (legal like) only $250 + PLUS FFL CHARGES AND SHIPPING . If any one is interested this will be a legal transfer only!!! If you live in Tn. no problem on the transfer. If a moderator here thinks this inapropriate feel free to kill this post... I kill most of my deer with my truck these days..... Good luck ....ROB

Things were looking really good untill I spoke to the neighbor's kid today. Him and his dad cleaned up on two small 8pts and a 9pt bow hunting. They hunt the eighty acres next to me. Oh well there's lots of buck's here in calhoun county (southwest mich). Good luck hunting and stay dry....

Matthew

I live in Washtenaw county just 1/2 mi S of Livingston, and just a few miles E of both Jackson and Ingham Co's. Since I moved out here 6 yrs ago, I have lost the urge to hunt. Bow just sits in the pole barn (used to do a lot of 3-D's and both bow and gun hunt)and I don't even have a deer gun. There are a lot of deer around here, but we have not seen too many lately. Since I'm laid off still, I guess I'll just watch again this year. I did get the 42 in snow blower (goes on my 22hp Troybilt garden tractor) all fixed up. Last winter while blowing out our private road, I hit a chuckhole and the whole thing came to a stop right now! I bent the bottom of the plow, and had to do some bumping out with my sledgehammer, and install a new wear bar on the bottom. Looks good now, but I will have to paint it when it gets warm again.

That was funny Midwest redneck! That's the way I hunt them too.Several years ago a fellow brought a box of butcher wrapped deer meat to the job site to give away.A young fellow asked "what did you kill it with,a 30/06?" "Naw,a Pontiac",was his reply.

YUP! Wife's SIL nailed one with her Explorer on Sunday. Guess it just damaged the grill, though, so she was lucky.

Well I am in the Eastern part of the county. Sounds like you and Midwest Redneck can go hunting together with your vehicles over in Kent County, you both will be over there tomorrow.
