Not much,

I'm all dressed up and nowhere to go.

Rained hard here all day and then changed to snow flying horizontially. Cab door didn't make it in from Rapid City either.

On top of that, I can't even see the old beast out in the yard.

Heck with it; I'll do it when the sun shines. :>)

I just hate getting rid of that old rotary valve.

But, I"ve already spoiled myself with the cab and the heater. No other choice, I guess. :>)

So you are going to put 2500 psi on those 125 psi street ELs on your cylinders? You like hydraulic oil injections? Go get yourself some 5000 PSI street Els.

Oh Good Gawd,

It's a 1955 Farmhand F-10.

Been plumbing these things since I was 10 years old and I'm not going to worry about some silly street el. They work just fine; always have.

I'm with you Allan, that's all we use for street el's to. The onl time we've ever had one burst was when we hit it on something and that was entirely our fault, not the street el's. Almost all of our hyd. cylinders have the galvanized cast ones too, never a problem yet- and they've been that way since the stone age....

Yeah, Think I should be okay.

I never operate any of my farm equipment inside the city limits anyway. :>)

Well now that's another story. The city is movin out to me.... around all 4 sides....and I HATE every bit of it. On the other hand, when we do finally sell the land for $35-40,000+/ acre, I can buy a nice chunk farther out and have the best of both worlds...

You may want to use straight steel fittings as most manuals say the galvanizing will contaminate the hydraulics. It doesn't take much. Steel fittings are a lot stronger than cast water pipe fittings. You wouldn't want to find out in that nice new cab. Just a thought. Dave

No snow here, but windy as all get out. I didn"t feel much like working, so I decided to head to an auction. I ended up buying a farmall H, that I have no use for. Should be nice little tractor by the time it rolls out of the shop next spring. Then I stopped by the local salvage yard for a couple parts for my current project. All in all I spent too much money on old tractors, so I must have had a good day.
