Often wondered just how many hours are in Allan's (from Nebraska) days down there. I mean, he obviously keeps more than busy with projects, repairs, farming, and then he still has time to post here including photos with most posts and responses to many of the responders and others. Plus I'm sure he has family around and maybe has a beer or two and probably helps and fights with the neighbors, just doesn't add up to me. Just how many hours are there in a Nebraska day anyways?

Only thing I do not understand about Allan is how he can work outside. I am only 60...but these old bones don't like the cold anymore. Come to think of it, last few years they did not take kindly to the Texas heat either...heck of a mess to be in.

Actually, he works like the devil for 4-5 days and then posts every thing he's done over the next week that he takes off! It enhances his image as a Miracle Worker! 8^)

Its the time zone in reply to MMB, 11-13-2006 06:01:48
He's right on the time zone line. He gets up with central time and quits on mountain time. In the summer, he even gets another hour out of day light saving time..that gives him 3 hour advantage over us common people.

I agree, With that many hours on his frame I bet there are grinding noises in his rear end, an egged out hitch and possibly blowby on a cylinder or two. I would expect it is time for a tear down, repaint and a new seat. JMHO

MMB,

It is a question of age.

The older ya are, the harder ya go, 'cause you're running out of daylight. :>)

Another oddity: The time seems to just fly by but yet, I always feel like I'm moving in slow motion and not ever getting enough done.

Wonder if other folks are this way?

Allan

I've also heard that age is a question of mind over matter: If you don't mind, it don't matter. Trouble is, I'm finding that I don't mind, but the old body seems to. Just keep pluggin', I guess. . .

Oh yeah Allan. I'm up at 5 AM and by 5 in the afternoon I haven't done a damn thing and it's supper time. But then I look back over the last several months and see what has been acomplished and I think, "I did all that?" (and that laid up most of the time)

Well, you got to remember, folks like Allan kind of squeeze 2 minutes out of 1. Thats the waking hours, for sleep they get by on about 1/3 of normal. Then you can see how he gets so much done. I have known several fellows that started the day around 3 Am, and you would still see lights on in the shop at midnight. Just a different matabolism I guess. :>]

that sounds like me on sundays trying to cram all my projects in on one day. start up the wood burner in the garage about 4-5AM, and shut it down about 9pm.
