I ended up with 3, 200# 8point, 145# doe , and a 110 # doe. New stand, 1 shot each. BIL and FIL got nadda. They couldnt stay on stand. Oh yeah, I also ended up with this darn cold. How did the rest of you fair, from any state. No hunting related injuries around the township , nice safe season

In Michigan, the bow hunters have had free reign since October 1, rifle hunters get Nov 15 thru 30th (WOW, lot'sa time there.) Muzzle loaders in this part of the state get Dec 1 thru 17. that's a bonus this year, however, the season is after the rifle and arrow hunters have decimated the herd. What's more, December weather can be brutal. What's more the few remaining deer have gone into deep seclusion, and you can go for days not finding anything, tracks, scat, deer, wished for deer....

Muzzleloader and Archery just closed a week back. General gun season (dogs and still hunt) opened Sat. Nov 18.

TX bow hunt = 0, Muzzleloader was spent driving my deskjob, Opening wx = 0 (bucks only). Got some nice does coming into my feed plot though.

Nov 17-19 (doe days) got a youth hunt of which I am the HuntMaster. Anticipate 10 Hunter Ed graduate kids arriving Friday 2pm. Expect the kids to be very successful as the donated land is loaded with deer and hog.

PS - Those Remington 710's are pretty accurate. 3/4" - 1.5" group at 100 yrds on sand bags. Did find out that one of the scopes had windage direction backwards, (2 boxes of ammo later).

Archery=4 Rifle=3. Still have 2 Archery license to fill. (my sons and I). We spent about 6 hours yesterday processing and wrapping. Kind of fun with all the banter and a couple beers after, dont know why we ever took them in for processing.

Well, my hunt was good and bad. Saturday morning I got a nice body size 8 pointer, 190 lbs dressed. While I was at camp we let the dogs run around and my bothers dog went crashing into the table we had set our rifles on and turned the table over. Well saturday evening I had a doe come within 40 yards. I shot and MISSED. So on Sunday I set up a target at 100 yards and could not even hit paper. Oh well so much for tagging out in one day.

The bow and muzzleloader seasons are done here in Western, Pa. Lots of deer again this year. We took 5 doe. Our buck area is a 4 point per side or bigger area and I just didn't see one that fit that bill during bow season. Every year I see the small ones though. You would think sooner or later I would find a decent one for the wall.

It is Muzzleloader and Archery season right now.

The still gun season opens this Sat. Nov 18.

And the With or Without Dogs season opens Dec 9th. This is when all the clubs will start hunting.

LOTS of deer around! Talked to several people that have taken good ones. It was rainy this afternoon. Not a hunter myself, but there are plenty of orange clad loonies out there! 8^)

I was impressed with the buck that Mrs. Luzinski was pictured with a couple of weeks ago. 24 points, 220 inches...with a bow no less...Wow!!!

I'm in MA. No need to build a stand. The deer come right up to the house. Last night, I was in the barn working with the lights and radio on. I walked outside and nearly tripped over a doe. We were no more than ten feet apart when she decided to bolt. I see deer most days within 100-150 feet of where I am standing. No, I don't feed them but they seem to like the apples and other earlier tree fruit drops that I have in abundance.

I am not a hunter, don't even own a gun. Just as well. I'd probably hit one of my neighbors.

Deer know that you don't have a gun. If you had one they would say away.

I have gone several times this year (Georgia) and have only seen a couple of does, saw one big buck under my old stand. I keep seeing this while lab chasing deer when I'm on my stand. I sure wish people would put up their dogs during hunting season.

being a dog lover I still say that dog should be dispatched at the next sighting.
