Something along the lines of a Ford 860 would be good for that. An 860 has live PTO and 3 point. But also some of the others like Farmall 350 would do well also if it has a 3 point set up on it. An Allis WD or WD45 would also be good. Main thing is to find out what dealers you have around so parts will be easy to find. Its no fun finding parts when the dealer is 100 miles away

congradulations on the purchace new comer.Don't want to start a brand battle, but anything with 40 hp and up with live pto, hydraulic remotes(at least one set,two would be better still) and POWER STEERING is almost a must would suit what you have said you needed it for to a T.phill

Farmall 300, 350, are the right size undervalued on the market, and simple. Both hav parts availability, and Live PTO, Live hyd. THat is my input. They work hard for a living. JimN

The most common ones are cheapest to buy and easiest to find parts for. If I only had one tractor I'd get one with 3 point hitch, probably a Ford or Ferguson.
