I'm back to trying to nail down the model of my Case C. Last time (post was dated 11/4/06), info from Chances R suggested it may be a CO if it has a special attachment to the air intake. I think it has that (here's a picture of it). But I found the serial # on the engine and it is clearly stamped CC 307503 and this number matches what's on the tool box. It has fenders as wide as any C I've seen, but it has turning break pedals and the rear wheels are 24 inch. Plus, Tom Railsback shared info that indicated no CO or CV tractors made in 1932 which is the date of this tractor.

I guess one question I have is, do CO and CV serial numbers say CO or CV, or were they all stamped a generic CC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - Jack

Well I think you have a CO. The CV and CO Florida Special was so narrow in the rearend that the fenders were about 2 inches away from the gas tank. The C and the regular CO were the same and the fenders were about 7 inches from the gas tank. That air cleaner stack that you took a picture of is right for the CO, CV, CI. Now as far as the serial number being stamped CC instead of CO: In my opinion this isnt as rare as some may think. I have seen tractors mis labled before. The one thing that I mainly look for when I was collecting C series Cases was that the number on the block and tool box match. Good Luck with the old gal!

Thanks, Chances R. I'm just going to call her a CO until someone proves me wrong. Maybe it's a CV, but who cares. I looked at your web site and enjoyed all the pics. I was kinda expecting more Case Cs and Ls, but I'm not complaining. That industrial C was way cool. Here's a pic of the serial # from the engine. It's pretty clearly marked CC. -Jack

Sorry, I messed up on the photo of the air intake. Hopefully, here it is.
