I am about ready to replace the manifold on my "52 "A" and I plan to use bolts. I have found that head bolts from an old Chevrolet engine will fit. Probably out of a 350 CI. I will have to recheck length for accuracy before installing, but they come pretty close.

The first tractor I restored was a 51' "A" in 1998. I replaced the manifold and used studs with anti-seize. I had to replace the gasket about 2 or 3 years ago. I got lucky and got all four studs out. Every tractor since that tractor got bolts. If things did not go that well, off comes the hood, radiator and fan shaft assembly. USE BOLTS. To-the-heck with the "correct police".

Unless you are doing an expo restoration forget the stud idea and use hard bolts with never sieze. If you ever have to replace the gasket or manifold you will wish you used bolts.
