I have a 2003 f-250 4x4 and when it shifts into overdrive it sounds like gears grinding. It doesn't do it all the time either. It just does it if conditions are right I guess. I think the only place it could be coming from is the torque converter but i'm not a car mechanic. Just wondering what everybody else thought or if anybody has had this problem. Thanks for any info.

You might look for a silicone additive to put in fluid to lubricate the torque converter. We had a 92 F150 that would chatter when going into overdrive, drained and flushed fluid, put new fluid with an additive, problem solved had been doing this since about 80,000, now has 195,000, have done this three times since then. I think Amsoil makes soemthing like that if you can find that.
